Essential Oils on the Farm

On the
Farm

Whether you have a huge farm/ranch, or a small homestead.  Essential oils can assist you with the day to day health and wellness of your animals.

Over the years we have had may "critters", to include pigs, goats, sheep and chickens.  A steer and cow are still on my "wish list".

We have been very blessed with good health of our animals over the years, but as you know when you have that many animals, they will get under the weather from time to time.
The oils I use the most for our livestock are Lavender, Peppermint, Oregano, Frankincense, and the Digestive Blend.  For problems such as minor skin abrasions, stomach troubles, fly control, and more.

I have found that acclimation will vary depending on the animal.  Being mindful that goats and sheep will try and eat your bottles, make sure you don't leave them laying around.

My chickens seem indifferent to the use of essential oils and give no indication of like or dislike when using them.  You know your animals, be mindful of them when introducing them to essential oils.
Want to add essential oils to your farm or homestead, I would love to share with you how.
